Welcome ….

Let me start by saying it will be fine, in fact it will be better than fine... it’s going to be great!

You will not survive by the skin of your teeth nor will you flounder and sink. You will develop, grow, become skilled and expert in your field. You will lead your school community with insight, resilience, courage and tenacity.

This is not positive speaking. It is a statement of truth; it may not be true right now so you need to make steps towards making this YOUR truth.

Well that depends on you and will remain a mystery until we get acquainted! Let’s get to know each other and I will be your advocate in developing the how plan!

The picture is of me a few years ago when I initially became a head teacher of a secondary school in inner London...I was feeling very courageous and confident on that day, I think that shows in my smile!

A few months later I was going through hell at work and at home, all thoughts of courage left me and I was ready to quit.

15 years of senior leadership including 5 as head teacher (no I don't look old enough!)
