Team Development

For head teachers, team-building is all about getting relationships right and is a crucial first step to achieving their overall vision and ambitions for their schools.

It's not just a matter of appointing the right staff to the right jobs. It's about developing good relations between the leadership, staff, pupils, parents and wider community.

This process is tied in with the values head teachers want to instil and the qualities you will need to build high performing senior team include; emotional intelligence & an almost instinctive understanding of what makes people tick. Without these qualities it is virtually impossible to build a successful senior team. Get the team dynamics right however and much of the rest follows naturally.

Investing in the development of your teams will always yield positive dividends, if you don't develop people, they will go and work for someone that will! A fantastic team won’t suddenly appear if you ask a group of people to “work together”.

Imagine this

Your senior team has an experienced advocate assigned to them. They support with those difficult issues, non – judgemental, experienced and honest, with your agenda of building the most successful SLT their sole motive.

  • Workshops on your school issues or aspects of leadership, let’s work on those school issues the team are facing.

  • Facilitated residential focusing on personal development / leadership capacity / school development

  • Leadership reflection sessions,

  • Group and individual sessions… it’s all about you!

Embarking on a coaching relationship is a positive step for your leadership team, it was the best thing I ever did as a leader: making the investment to have a personal advocate for my team. Let me introduce you to the concept of cornerstone leadership, it was the powerful bedrock for my school community.
